Hello! I’m a writer and audience journalist based in New York City interested in all things social media, the arts and [internet] culture.

Born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, journalism has been a part of me even before I could write – I would narrate stories to my mom when I was 3 years old and she would transcribe them for me. Through the years, I have expanded from solely writing and reporting to audience engagement as well, always focusing on how I can center communities and uplift them through different forms of storytelling.

Currently, I am a social editor for NBC‘s TODAY Show where I focus on X/Twitter day-to-day and digital strategy, both for the show and it’s website TODAY.com, from covering breaking news to interviewing the Succession cast at their season finale red carpet and more.

In the community arts organization Archivos del Caribe, I am the art + media director where my responsibilities include curating the visual narrative, social media management, and maintaining an accessible digital and print space.

Previously, I was a News Curation Fellow for over a year at BuzzFeed News as part of the team that runs distribution and audience development for the award-winning newsroom, carrying out our journalism strategy on social media. I was also an NPR intern for social media communications and have collaborated with the Puerto Rican organization 9 Millones in journalism, design, and social media. Additionally, I interned with Foundation for Puerto Rico and the Puerto Rico Consortium for Clinical Investigation for social media, communications, and marketing. I was also a part of the first cohort of the Vox Media Writers Workshop.

My work has been included in Vox, NPR, Emperifollá, Refinery29, 9 Millones, and more.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism + Design from The New School and a Master of Arts in Creative Publishing & Critical Journalism from The New School for Social Research with a minor in Design Studies from the Parsons School of Design. While in school, I co-founded a virtual coffee shop called chats n cappuccinos for other journalism students as well as the Journalism + Design book club. I was a reporter at our newspaper The New School Free Press and an associate editor for the grad school magazine Back Matter.

When I’m not writing or on Twitter, I’m probably drinking coffee at a cute coffee shop, reminiscing about One Direction or dancing.
